If you’re a high school student with a great idea to improve people’s lives using science, technology, engineering and math, we have a contest for you! Bright House Networks is backing a nationwide STEM competition, and your awesome idea could become a reality.

Bright Ideas STEM from today’s youth is open to all high school students 14 years of age and older who attend school in a Bright House service area. Students may compete as individuals or as part of a team of up to 3 students.

The challenge is simple: come up with the coolest invention to improve your own life, your community, or the entire world! Six finalists will be selected from areas across the nation, including one right here in Indiana. The teams or individuals behind the top six entries will travel to Orlando where they will compete head-to-head on TV, in front of a studio audience. The winner will have a chance to work with Fahrenheit 212 in New York to build a virtual prototype and a business plan.

You have until October 31 to submit ideas for the next great invention. To find out how you can get involved or to register for program updates visit www.brighthouse.com/brightideas.
