Christina Aden joins the IPS Executive Leadership Team as the district’s new Chief Human Resources Officer. She begins her new role on April 11, 2022.
Aden joined Indianapolis Public Schools in 2019 as Director of Financial Projects, where she supported the design of projects/initiatives in the functional areas of finance, operations, human resources and academics to secure resources for the district’s ongoing programmatic and operational needs. During Summer 2020, she supported the district’s distribution of 1:1 technology (devices and MiFi’s) and learning materials as a member of IPS’ COVID-19 Strategic Response Team.
In January 2021, Aden became Director of System Performance & Strategy. In this role, she ensured the optimization and efficiency of business office system functions critical to IPS operations. She managed the Business Office System Support (BOSS) and Training & Resource teams, which work across Human Resources and Digital Strategy to ensure central office systems and system output analytics adapt to the changing needs of IPS employees and stakeholders.
Prior to joining Indianapolis Public Schools, Aden worked for more than 10 years in healthcare as a financial analytics professional. She’s held positions with Indiana University Health, Myers & Stauffer LLC, Anthem and United Healthcare.
Aden earned her bachelor’s degree from Howard University, masters of business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a masters of educational leadership from The Broad Residency.
She is a wife and mother of two children (Dallas and August Hamer).
