At the August 28 Indianapolis Public Schools Board of School Commissioners action session the 2015 budget was approved. The budget of just over $382 million will go into effect on January 1, 2015.

The Board of School Commissioners approved the hiring of over 202 certified personnel, including teachers and principals.
The board also voted to re-new an agreement with New Technology Network, LLC (NTN) to provide services to grown and sustain the New Tech School at Arsenal Technical High School. New Tech engages students with a dynamic, rigorous curriculum focused on project-based learning. NTN will work with New Tech School to revisit and refine the school’s vision, structure, and practices. Support will be focused on building capacity within the school leadership team, with specific NTN training in adaptive leadership, college and career readiness assessments, and the new project planning toolkit.
