IndyGo is excited to partner with IPS high schools for the 2021-22 academic year to provide students with a benefit that offers greater mobility to navigate the City of Indianapolis. Through the Sponsored Rides Program, students can use their ID cards to commute to and from school, work and extracurricular activities at no charge to them. To help parents and students learn more about how to use IndyGo, we are offering several opportunities this week to get familiar with using transit. Please use the information below and the attached graphics to help get the word out to students and their families.
Students are strongly encouraged to bring their student ID that is also a bus pass. If an adult is accompanying the student to also learn the system, they should bring the IndyGo day pass the student received from the partnering school. There will be a limited number of IndyGo day passes available for the ride along for students who have not yet received their student ID.
Our goal is to ensure our school partners, students and their families feel supported as we head into another school year. Linked here is a MyKey Toolkit as a resource for sharing information about riding IndyGo with students and families.
