Indianapolis Public Schools is overjoyed to
have Arlington Community High School back under our umbrella of schools, and we
couldn’t be more excited to see their success unfold as the year continues.
Principal Stanley Law kicked off the year
with a “successful Open House,” full of tasty ice cream, laughs and comradery.
The event proved to be a hit with the students and this gave them the
opportunity to become familiar with their new school, teachers and principal. “Enrollment has doubled since last year,” said
Law has no doubts that good things are in
store for the Arlington family, especially since so many in the community are
staying true to their Alma Mater. “We have a strong and active group of alumni who
are here to help every step of the way,” said Law.
He hopes to keep his community engaged
throughout the school year and plans to increase volunteer involvement to help
build on his school’s success. If you missed the Ice Cream Social/Open House
this week, don’t worry! There are lots of fun events in the works for this
year, including a Meet the Principal session coming soon for students and
Principal Law has served as a teacher, assistant
principal and principal for nearly 20 years and is guided by the motto
“Achievement beyond expectations: Doing whatever it takes to educate.” We’re
proud of the way he has put his experience to good use and led his new
Arlington scholars and families through a positive first week back. We look
forward to what they will build together this year!
