The technical issues that Indianapolis Public Schools endured today, Sept. 22, are a direct result of damages to the district internet provider’s fiber optic cables. This outage did not affect everyone in the district but was widespread enough that it warranted IPS administration to cancel remote learning for the day.
IPS is working internally to share with families how students can make up lessons.
Our internet provider is working to fix the issue. Teachers are also working to ensure lessons are available for the remainder of the week if the internet outage persists.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and will provide additional updates when more information is available.
Parent Institute Rescheduled

Parents in Touch (PIT) Day
As a reminder, Parents in Touch (PIT) Day is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 23. There are no remote learning classes. If you cannot access your PIT Day virtual meeting, please reach out to your student’s school directly. NOTE: Some innovation schools may not be participating in PIT Day on Wednesday, so please check your school’s calendar.
