Just because school is out for summer for students, doesn’t mean IPS staff and departments also go on break from June to August. Quite the contrary!
Summertime is one of the busiest times of year for the IPS Food Service Department, which feeds district students — as well as non IPS students – nutritious meals during school breaks and inclement-weather days.
This year’s Summer Meal Program will offer free breakfast and lunch at selected sites throughout the district from June 11 through July 27. Meals will be served at 28 locations, including stops by our Bus Stop Café at several community sites — including the Martin Luther King Community Center, Stratford Apartment Complex and the Haughville and Irvington public library branches.
Meals are free and available to any child age 18 and younger. Adults are welcomed to purchase a meal for $4 or less.
Here’s a list of summer meal service times, dates and locations.
