  1. Join Crown Hill Cemetery for their 3rd Annual “Ghost Stories” event on Saturday, October 11. Listen to ghost stories from historical reenactors and ride on the Dillinger Trolley!
  2. Visit the Children’s Museum’s Terra Cotta Warriors before they’re gone! The exhibit is in its final weeks!
  3. Do you love Dogs and Books? Check out Paws to Read at Indy Reads Books, Saturday, October 18!
  4. Have a future dolphin trainer or zoologist on your hands? Check out the Indianapolis Zoo’s Fall Zoo Camps!
  5. Learn all about Día de los Muertos at the Indiana State Museum and check out George W. Julian School 57’s contribution to the exhibit while you’re there!
  6. Cheer on the Butler Bulldogs Volleyball team as they take on Seton Hall and Villanova during Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend – October 3-4! Bonus: the games are at Shortridge and they’re FREE!
  7. Venture out to Tuttle Orchards for some apple picking! There’s also a corn maze, pumpkins and other fun fall activities for the whole family!
  8. Add a little sparkle to your fall break with a visit to the Indianapolis Museum of Art to make a work of art to take home during Open Studio. Projects include watercolor resist painting, marbleizing paper, tissue collage, and clay characters!
  9. Indulge yourself with some delicious sweets at Chocolate Fest, October 11! Children 12 and under get in FREE!
  10. Cheer on the Indy Eleven at their last two home games of the season! October 11 and 18!
  11. Check out over 200 films at the Heartland Film Festival! Opening night is October 16!
  12. Immerse yourself in the life of Indianapolis visionary, Madame Walker at “The Madame Walker Story” at Madame Walker Theatre, October 17. Admission is free!
  13. It’s the last month for City Market’s Farmers Market! Visit it on Wednesday 8 or 15!
  14. Blue Collar Gold Swagger is back! Cheer on the Pacers as they start the pre-season, October 7! There’s also a FREE fan event –Pacers Fan Jam on October 5! 
  15. Enjoy the fresh air and go for a hike in Eagle Creek Park or take a stroll down the Indianapolis Cultural Trail!
