NBA Players Retired Association Sponsors IPS Students at Butler Esports

As NBA All-Star Weekend got started retired players took groups of our high school students to Butler University to learn about Esports.

Esports is a booming global industry where skilled video gamers play competitively. The same way we see competition in traditional sports, esports encompasses competition in a similar fashion, across a wide variety of games.

Students from all four of our high schools spent the day in the state of the art esports facility on the campus of Butler University.

During their stay, they received an invaluable crash course on the entire industry of esports.

This involved playing the game, building the game, analyzing the game, commentating, game economics, & more as their eyes were opened to the booming field.

Walking away, many students who want a career in this field, now received the direction & guidance they were looking for to make it a reality.

Thank you again to the NBARPA & Butler Esports for the incredible day for our students!
