Ben Davis High School – Saturday was an historic day for IPS & athletics in general across the city. It was the kickoff of our high school girls flag football season. Our four IPS high schools of George Washington, Shortridge, Arsenal Tech, & Crispus Attucks took the trip to the gridiron for Week one.
They were joined by the hosting Ben Davis Giants. The first game saw the Blue Devils battle the Giants in a back & forth affair that saw exceptional effort from both teams. That game was followed by an incredible IPS schools matchup with Attucks battling Arsenal Tech. It was a game full of highlights, but the Tigers walked away 1-0 after pulling away early.
To close out the day our Continentals got to face a extremely talented Ben Davis team in their second game of the day. It was improvement all day from all of our participating teams. The excitement from our young student-athletes playing this new sport was very evident. The enthusiasm was high, players had great effort, & everybody had fun!
