Christel House – The Crispus Attucks Boys Soccer team found themselves in primetime on Saturday evening in the 2023 GIAC Conference Championship Game.
The in-season tournament had the Tigers, as the 9 seed, grind through two tough games against Riverside & George Washington to make it into the championship game. In doing so they were matched up against the two seed Indiana Math & Science (IMS).
An incredible game saw IMS convert on an early goal to to take a 1-0 lead. Late in the first half, the Tigers converted a penalty kick to knot the score, 1-1. The second half saw an early Tigers goal, & from there they did enough to hold onto the lead.
The final second came off the clock & the Tigers celebrated as they became conference champions winning 2-1.
